ABOUT OUR CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING

Children are precious to the Lord and they are the future of His Kingdom. Children are always encouraged to join our spiritual celebration here at Bethesda. We honor all children with Sunday School instruction, and worship participation. We also encourage them in a ministry of their own including the welcoming of guests, promoting the donation of can goods for those in need and their participation in a yearly mission project at Christmas time.

Bethesda UMC provides a nursery service for children up to three years of age. We include Children's Church during the Sunday worship service for those children four and above who choose to step out of the regular service for a personalized message of their own.

In addition to Sunday services, Bethesda offers children's groups on Wednesday Family Night. Family Night begins with dinner and a short worship and then breaks into groups from 7-8 pm. During this time, children meet with others of their own age, to learn and play within a well guided spiritual atmosphere.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

As many of you know, we have children’s church for our smaller children. Our smaller children, from 3-5, stay in the sanctuary and worship with their families until the choir has completed singing the anthem. At that time they are free to leave to attend their own worship service in Johnson Hall.

We need volunteers to help with our children’s church. Please pick a six week period and volunteer to serve for a six week period of hosting our children’s church. This is one of our most important areas of ministry each Sunday morning. Let’s keep it going strong. To do so, you will need to volunteer to help. Please call the office, Jeanne Key to volunteer, or sign-up on Sunday morning after worship.
